The truth is…

Healing begins with you

Meet Your Therapist

Jacqueline Canovan

I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who supports adults navigating the complexities of anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and everyday stress. I also work closely with individuals in recovery from substance use and those who grew up in families impacted by mental health or addiction.

My goal is to create a space

where you don’t have to hold

everything alone.

You might be here because:

  • You often feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained

  • You find yourself overthinking, people-pleasing, or putting others first

  • You feel stuck or unsure how to move forward, even when you’re trying your best

  • You’re navigating a life transition and don’t feel as grounded or confident as you’d like

  • You want support that helps you better understand yourself, not just push through

If any of this resonates, you’re not alone — and you don’t need to have everything figured out to begin.

How therapy can help

Therapy offers a space to slow down and understand how early emotional experiences continue to shape your thoughts, relationships, and sense of self.

In our work together, we may focus on:

  • Reducing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and depressive symptoms

  • Understanding how past instability impacts current stress and relationships

  • Learning to regulate emotions without shutting down or overthinking

  • Building healthier boundaries and self-trust

  • Developing a more stable internal sense of safety and direction

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and paced to meet you where you are.

Who I support

I support adults who are feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, or stuck and are looking for a supportive space to better understand themselves and build steadier ways of coping. Many clients come to therapy wanting both insight and practical tools as they navigate stress, relationships, and life transitions.

This may be a good fit if you’re seeking thoughtful, collaborative support rather than quick fixes.

You don’t have to figure this out on your own

If anxiety, low mood, or emotional overwhelm are impacting your life, therapy can offer a supportive space to slow down, reflect, and begin making sense of what you’re experiencing.

I offer a free consultation so you can ask questions, learn more about therapy, and see if working together feels like a good fit.
