Meet Your Therapist

Jacqueline Canovan

I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who supports adults navigating the complexities of anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and everyday stress. I also work closely with individuals in recovery from substance use and those who grew up in families impacted by mental health or addiction.

My goal is to create a space

where you don’t have to hold

everything alone.

Journey as a therapist

My path began in community mental health centers, where I witnessed just how many people struggled quietly—carrying the weight of past experiences, family patterns, or untreated mental health concerns. I met adults who wanted deeply to heal but often lacked access to care that truly honored their story, their identity, and their strengths.

Those experiences shaped me, and ultimately inspired me to build a practice centered on compassion, clarity, and support.

Today, I offer in-office sessions in Matawan, NJ, and telehealth for adults across New York and New Jersey.
